Sheriff Collecting Toys For Needy At Moorestown Mall

Moorestown Patch, November 17, 2017 - The County Store at the Moorestown Mall is serving as a drop-off location for the Burlington County Sheriff's Department's 22nd annual Toy Drive. Human Service agencies will then work with the Sheriff's Department to distribute the donations to local children. These agencies include the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Oaks Integrated Care, Catholic Charities, Christian Caring Center, Providence House, Sisterhood in Burlington City, Servicios Latinos, Foster and Adoptive Family Services and House of God in Delran. Mount Holly Nonprofit Donates 900 Backpacks to Schoolchildren in Need

Burlington County Times, September 6, 2017 - Hundreds of children will be heading back to school with book bags stuffed with fresh pencils and notebooks through the efforts of Oaks Integrated Care. The nonprofit worked with over 20 local businesses and community groups to collect backpacks and supplies for 900 children whose parents are involved in Oaks’ health and social services programs. Jamie’s Road to Independence

Thirty-one-year-old Jamie lives with a developmental disability and also struggled for years with suicidal ideations and psychiatric hospitalizations. Living independently and maintaining interpersonal relationships was extremely difficult due to challenges with a personality disorder and bipolar disorder. For much of her life, Jamie yearned to find independence. In 2008, Jamie entered our Supervised Apartments where she started to learn coping and anger management skills. The program provides adults with developmental disabilities the necessary daily living skills to function on their own with minimal assistance such as meal preparation, medication administration, household upkeep and community integration.
